This-or-That Tuesday

The Arts Edition

1. Poetry or prose?
prose... i'm really not a poetry fan...
2. Funky modern art or the older, "classic" variety?
older classic variety, for the most part... some funky modern is sorta cool... but not much...
3. Sculptures or paintings?
i prefer paintings... but i don't dislike sculptures...
4. Theatre: exuberant musical or serious drama?
err, well, i don't really do theatre... but if i had to chose, i'd probably pick a serious drama...
5. Ballet or modern dance?
um... modern dance... that's what my sister (a dancer) has always preferred to perform, so, i think because of that i always liked it better...
6. Movies: major studio or indie?
usually major studio... but it depends on the indie... lots of indies have really good stories, but crappy-ass actors...
7. Authors: Shakespeare or Dr. Seuss?
i like both... hard to chose... they're soooo different...
8. TV: PBS or A&E?
A&E
9. Music: Beethoven or Beatles?
hmmm... depends on what Beatles songs... some of them are really annoying to me... i think i would chose Beethoven...
10. Thought-provoking question of the week: You are a contributing member of your favorite art museum, and visit on a regular basis. They announce a new, temporary special exhibit by an artist surrounded by controversy...this person's work and/or political views offend you. Do you stop supporting the museum, or just stay away during the time the exhibit is there?
i think the right answer would not be to stop supporting the museum... art is art... but put in the situation, i don't know... i would hope i wouldn't get too pissed off about it... and therefore just stay away during the time of the exhibit...
